Nearly five years after the crash, helicopter tour company yet to complete site cleanup

In 2011 a helicopter crash contaminated a stretch of land on Molokai. Nearly five years later, the land owners allege that big business & insurance agencies are still covering it up.

When a Blue Hawaiian tour helicopter crashed on Molokai, local residents had no idea that the company and their insurance agent, Allianz, would leave the fuel, debris and contaminants to “just wash down the hill.”

At issue is the damage and contamination caused by the accident and the negligent behavior demonstrated by the businesses responsible for the pollution.

The trial related to Blue Hawaiian Helicopters and the failure to clean up the November 2011 accident is scheduled to begin on November 1, 2016 in Federal Court.
