The generously monstrous cinnamon rolls come with your choice of toppings, additional icing and start at around $4 for one massive cinnamon explosion that is the size of a large grapefruit. Additional toppings include macadamia nuts, pecans, almonds, raisins and cream cheese frosting for 75-cents to $1 more. I ordered the regular cinnamon roll topped with macadamia nuts and cream cheese frosting.
It was comforting, delightfully sweet, crunchy from the roast nuts and unfortunately the frosting had no flavor of cream cheese whatsoever. The icing seemed more like confectioners’ sugar with a touch of sweetened condensed milk. I am not knocking them for the frosting because overall it’s a solid cinnamon roll. Try it before adding the icing as it could get too sugary and overwhelm the wholesome cinnamon essence.
They have a continuous promotion if you purchase 5 cinnamon rolls you get one free. I am anxious to one day try other items besides the rolls, they have bread pudding, banana bread, scones, muffins, cookies and special breakfast bagel sandwiches – which look outstanding. But I thought it would be crazy to go to the Cinnamon Roll Place and order a sandwich and not a cinnamon roll.
