Disorderly Conduct Case Open Against Man with Unloaded Air Pistol

At about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Maui Police Department Wailuku Patrol Officers were assigned to a report of a male brandishing a weapon in the area of the Lono Building on Lono Avenue.

MPD says that officers made contact with a 28-year-old male who was holding the weapon at the time of the report.

The weapon turned out to be an unloaded air pistol. Other than the calls to dispatch there were no complaints made against the male, per police.

A Disorderly Conduct case was initiated because he caused public alarm and the incident was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
