Police Investigate Robbery at Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center

The Maui Police Department is investigating a robbery incident at Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center.

According to authorities, at about 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, an unidentified male offender and a female accomplice approached a 55-year-old woman on the third floor of the parking structure next to Macy’s in the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center in Kahului.

The male allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded the woman’s purse, which she handed over to the male. The male offender and his female accomplice then fled down the parking structure staircase near the Macy’s Men’s Department in an unknown direction.

Police say the victim did not report any injuries.

The male offender is described as 30 to 40-years-old, approximately 5’10” to 6’0” tall, medium to thin build with short black hair, brown eyes with a light brown complexion. The male was last observed wearing a light blue t-shirt, brown surf shorts with a yellow logo on the left front leg and slippers.

The female accomplice was described as 30 to 40-years-old, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall, medium to thin build with black hair in a ponytail to the middle of her back, brown eyes with a light brown complexion. The female was last observed wearing a light blue shirt, light blue jeans and slippers.
