Male Pulled from the Ocean at Ulua Beach in Wailea

At 8:17 a.m., this morning, emergency responders in South Maui were called to Ulua Beach for a male pulled from the ocean fronting the Wailea Elua Village condominium. At 8:20 a.m., Wailea firefighters found a male in his 50s or 60s on the beach with a vacationing firefighter from the mainland and other bystanders administering CPR on the victim. Paramedics …

Maui Police arrest suspect after chasing stolen vehicle in South Kihei

On August 14, 2017 at about 11:30 a.m., Kihei Patrol officers were following a stolen vehicle traveling on South Kihei.  The operator of the vehicle refused to obey officer’s orders to stop and drove recklessly toward North Kihei Road.  Once the vehicle got onto Honoapiilani Highway, officers lost sight of it in Waikapu.
