OCEAN RESCUE: Kihei residents are blowing up our phone lines and inbox asking about flares seen in the ocean off the Keawekapu Beach/Wailea area.

We learned that two paragliders with black parachutes landed approx. 1.5-2 miles off shore of Keawekapu Beach and an ocean rescue involving the Maui Fire Department and US Coast Guard is underway.
