Brown Water Advisory issued County wide

The Clean Water Branch of the State Department of Health has issued a Brown Water Advisory(BWA) for Maui, Lanai, and Molokai. The public is advised to stay out of flood waters and storm water runoff due to possible overflowing cesspools, sewer manholes, pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, pathogens, chemicals, and associated flood debris. Turbid water runoff have been known to attract sharks due to possible dead animals being washed into the ocean. If coastal waters are brown, stay out.
