WALI REMNANTS UPDATE

The potential for locally heavy rainfall remains today – so the FLASH FLOOD WATCH is posted through this evening. However, it seems that most of the heavy rain has tapered off of Maui and has shifted over to Oahu. Small craft advisories are posted for our typically windy waters around Maui. Highs are expected in the mid to upper 80’s. Winds out of the east at about 15 mph with higher gusts. Normal trade wind weather is expected to return by the middle of the week.

There will be a series of small south and southeast swells through this week. Trade winds will remain strong enough to bring short period choppy surf along east facing shores.

Sunset tonight 7:08pm
Sunrise tomorrow 5:56am
UV index at 11 (extreme exposure level)
