The National Weather Service has CONTINUED the HIGH SURF ADVISORY for SOUTH FACING SHORES OF MAUI COUNTY in effect until 6 pm today. A slow moving storm near New Zealand a week ago generated south-southwest swell that will continue to move through the Hawaiian coastal waters through today. Advisory level surf is expected to continue on south facing shores.

Expect surf of 6 to 8 feet with locally higher sets along south facing shores to continue through 6 pm today.
