UPDATE: Vandals in Haiku caught on tape arrested

UPDATE: The Maui Police Department Wailuku Patrol Division and elements of the Juvenile Crime Prevention Division have been investigating an Unauthorized Entry Into A Motor Vehicle case, where video footage was posted all over social media. With the assistance of the public and through investigation, several juvenile males were identified in this case.

Three (3) male juveniles have been arrests as a result of this investigation; a fifteen year old from
Makawao and sixteen (16) year old and thirteen (13) year old from Haiku.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Video surfaced of a group of individuals caught on tape vandalizing an unattended vehicle in Haiku. According to the creator of the video, the event took place on September 24th in broad daylight near the Haiku Recycling transfer station. According to witnesses, the owner of the vehicle was in a bad accident and the individuals in the video rolled up minutes later. The individuals are observed spray painting the vehicle, throwing objects, and kicking the vehicle. It is unknown if a police report was filled but we encourage anyone that can identify these individuals to notify Maui Police.
