Haku Dudoit powered West at the plate and on the hill Sunday, willing West to a 5-1 victory over Asia-Pacific.
Dudoit reached base two times. He doubled in the first inning.
Dudoit looked sharp on the bump. Asia-Pacific managed just two hits off of Dudoit, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
Even in defeat, Kyumin Kim played well for Asia-Pacific.
Asia-Pacific was led by Kim’s hitting. Kim went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Kim handled West’s lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Kim allowed two earned runs, two hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings.
West scored three runs in the first inning to build an early lead. West scored in the first on , an RBI double by Tiger Caulford, and a passed ball.
West tacked on another two runs in the sixth. Isaiah Souza started the inning with a double, plating Dudoit. That was followed up by Reyn Okita’s double, scoring Souza.
