New Menu Items at Tommy Bahama

All year-long Tommy Bahama is proclaiming “Long Live The Island Life” because the sophisticated lifestyle stores and island-inspired restaurants are celebrating their 25th anniversary. With the birthday year-long bash and on-going commemorative specials and promotions, the Hawaii restaurants have also launched some brand new menu items. Harnessing local farm-fresh ingredients and inspired by Hawaiian flavor, these new dishes are meant to enhance local produce and proteins while complimenting classic components.

Here’s a taste of what you will find at the Wailea location on Maui and in Waikiki on Oahu.

Kula Baby Romaine Wedge – topped with smoked bacon, grated egg, balsamic onion jam, Kamuela tomatoes, sweet onion blue cheese dressing. This was my favorite dish of the night. I enjoyed the freshness, all the flavors and the bounty of textures.
Roasted island vegetables harvested just hours before preparation from local farmers. A stunning array of fresh island greens, root veggies and perfectly seasoned, my husband loved these leftovers.
Wagyu Beef Zabuton – served with Waimea baby bok choy, baby carrots, chile oil. Wagyu beef is one of the best of the best and this was highlighted by local mushrooms, delightful mashed potatoes and although a bit underdone it was hearty but lacked that typical Wagyu marbling and higher depth of flavor.
Miso Glazed Ora King Salmon – caramelized shiitake mushrooms, tomato relish and citrus miso vinaigrette. A great take on a local classic the tomato relish is similar to lomi tomato and adds nice acid to the perfectly cooked salmon.

Don’t forget about dessert! The portion sizes and level of excellence are impressive. These classics are worth waiting for and all of them are an amazing sweet end!

Key Lime Pie – graham cracker crust and key lime zest.
Pineapple Creme Brûlée – Tahitian vanilla bean, caramelized pineapple.
Peanut Butter Pie – pretzel crust, chocolate ganache, Hawaiian Sea Salt


Vanilla Cake, Myers Dark Rum, pineapple, white chocolate mousse, toasted coconut
