The Rotary Club of Upcountry is holding its curbside Christmas tree pickup service from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, for the Paia, Haiku, Makawao, Pukalani and Kula areas. A $10 donation for each small and medium tree, and a minimum donation of $20 per large tree, is requested; funds will support the club’s community service projects. A special, one-time holiday cleanup day is scheduled for free electronics recycling from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at the county-funded E-Cycling program location, 901 Lower Main St., Wailuku. Televisions, computers, monitors and printers are being accepted. The program does not accept microwaves, cell phones, stereos, copiers, fax machines, computer games or any other electronic device.

The cleanup day is in addition to the county’s regular E-Cycling location hours, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays. The location will be closed Dec. 22 to Jan. 4 due to the holidays.
