The closure of South Kihei Road for resurfacing work from Kulanihakoi to Kauhaa streets has temporarily closed eight bus stops in Kihei, according to the county Department of Transportation.

The road closure has affected north- and southbound stops on both sides of streets near South Kihei Road’s intersections with Piikea Avenue, Waipuilani Road and Kulanihakoi and Kaonoulu streets.

The bus stops are on the Maui Bus Island Route #10 and the Kihei Villager Route #15.

The closures will remain in effect until March 6, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays only.

Maui Bus fares are $2 per boarding or $4 for a daily pass. Monthly passes also are available.

Bus riders can see where buses are located, in real time, and check on predicted arrival times by using the Maui Bus app, available on iOS and Android at
