Two Arrested in Kihei Cockfight Raid

On Saturday, May 25, 2019 at about 5 p.m. members of the Vice Gambling & Morals Unit raided a cockfight being held off of Kaimana Road near the Hawaiian Cement baseyard in Kihei.

About one hundred people were watching a cockfight in progress. Two men were each holding a gamecock fitted with fighting paraphernalia.

Arrested were 23-year-old Travis Tolentino of Wailuku and 44-year-old Shannon Mollena of Wailuku. Both were charged with the offenses of Cruelty to Animals in the Second Degree and Possession of a Gambling Device. Their bail was set at $400.00 each.
