Central Maui ends World Series journey with a loss to Louisiana

An amazing effort by this Central Maui squad but they fall to Louisiana 9-5 in the U.S. title game at the Little League World Series ⚾️Still one more game as they will take on Japan in Sunday’s consolation game at 4am on ESPN.

Game Recap

West notched five runs in the sixth inning. Duke AloyKaleb MathiasIsaac Imamura, and Bransyn Hong all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

William Andrade led the Southwest to victory on the hill. They went four and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out three. Ryder PlanchardConner Perrot, and Derek DeLatte all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.Ryder recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Southwest.

Logan Kuloloia took the loss for West. They lasted four and a third innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out three and walking zero.

West tallied seven hits in the game. Bransyn and Nakea Kahalehau all managed multiple hits for WestNakea and Bransyn each collected two hits to lead West.

Southwest racked up 11 hits on the day. Marshall LouqueRyder, and Reece Roussel all managed multiple hits for SouthwestMarshall went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Southwest in hits. Southwest was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Stan Wiltz made the most plays with five.
