The Maui Fire Department responded to swimmers in distress in the area of Black Rock in Ka`anapali on Wednesday.

According to officials, a husband and wife were swimming when they were caught in a rip current just off the point in the area. Bystanders got them to the rocky shore on Keka`a Point and a jet ski brought them safely to the sandy shoreline just south of the point.

A father and son duo were also brought to shore from the same area via jet ski as a precaution due to the strong current.

The victims were all deemed to be in good condition

MFD reports that all four of the individuals were visiting from the Seattle area.
