Maui Electric Restores Power to the Majority of Customers

Maui Electric has restored power to a majority of the remaining 1,000 customers in parts of Kula, Olinda, Haiku, Kahului, and Wailuku after gusty winds damaged electrical equipment on the island.

Crews continue to work on restoring power to about 100 customers in a pocket of Upcountry and Kahului.

Approximately 1,400 customers in various parts of Maui experienced outages overnight.
