The Aloha State named the worst state in America for drunk driving

A new study shows the Aloha State is the worst state for drunk driving.

CarInsuranceComparison.com used several metrics including fatality, drunk driving, and careless driving rates to rank the most dangerous states featuring the worst drivers in the U.S.

Hawaii was ranked number one in the country for drunk driving, with 45 percent of fatal crashes due to driving under the influence.

“The estimated cost of motor vehicle fatalities, injuries, and property damage in the first half of 2019? $191.7 billion,” the study read.

Speeding was also a ranking factor in the study. Hawaii is number four for speeding in the nation.

Hawaii was also named number 14 overall among states with the worst drivers.
