The Hawaii Department of Health reported 24 new COVID-19 cases on the Fourth of July, bringing the state total to 999.

19 people have died. The most recent victim was reported on Friday – an elderly woman in an Oahu nursing home who was hospitalized with several underlying health issues. In total, 118 people have been hospitalized, and 756 people have been released from isolation.
